As part of the Welcome Home Soldier event, Talk Life, a new California based company, will be offering free and discounted phone therapy sessions to veterans.
Talk Life (www.TalkLife.com) was created as a safe start to emotional and mental health phone therapy for people who need immediate therapeutic assistance, or who are just not comfortable opening up in a traditional face to face setting. Talk Life works only with hand selected, CA licensed therapists averaging over 10 years of experience.
There has always been a stigma against mental health, but Talk Life has started with the mission of helping people realize that mental wellness and well-being is an important part of our everyday lives. “Traditionally, veterans have felt some of the strongest stigma against reaching out for help as it can be interpreted, wrongly I might add, as weakness” says co-founder Eric Shaw, “We created Talk Life as a place where people could feel safe in an anonymous and private environment to take that first step”.
To honor Memorial Day, and our brave veterans, Talk Life is offering free 30 minute sessions for veterans during the weekend of the Welcome Home Soldiers event. As a continued offer, from May 15 through the end of June, veterans, as well as anyone in need, can have an initial session for only $10.
Our hope and goal is that more people can begin taking advantage of the many benefits that therapy can provide and start to make some real positive changes in their lives, feeling happier and more in control. You can learn more by visiting www.TalkLife.com.
